Welcome to enCompass Center for Creative Arts
The Vision
Changing The Culture One Creative Heart At A Time
The Mission
To develop the God-given gifts and talents inherent in the individual and provide an environment that encourages the use of those gifts and talents in a positive way
Is enCompass just for "artists"?
enCompass is founded on the belief that every person has within him/herself not only the capacity to create, but the fundamental need to do so. enCompass's thrust is to provide the tools to assist the individual in his/her creative development and then to help facilitate positive expression of the product in whatever venue is chosen, whether it be public or private, sacred or secular. Best summarized, one of the primary foci of enCompass is the practical empowerment of the individual to leave a lasting impact upon his/her surrounding culture.
It is central to the vision and mission of enCompass that the traditional definition of the word "artists" be abandoned. For the purposes of enCompass Center for Creative Arts, "artists" must be held to refer to all persons who have chosen to express their God-given creativity for the benefit of self and others, through whatever vehicle that creativity can be shared. This definition does not limit itself to what are traditionally referred to as the fine arts (i.e. music, theatre, dance, etc.), but rather seeks to enCompass the act and product of self-expression as a whole.
So to answer the question... In the eyes of the founders, every human person deserves the freedom to share his/her creative "residue" in an effort to make a positive impression on the world. Therefore, enCompass is indeed for "artists" so long as that definition includes YOU!
